How to Connect Google SMTP in ShipGuard
ShipGuard allows you to send claim process emails to your customers using your
own domain email instead of the default
no-reply@shipguard.app
.
If you use Gmail or Google Workspace, you can connect via Google SMTP (OAuth 2.0).
Follow these steps to set it up:
Step 1: Go to Notification Settings
In your ShipGuard dashboard, navigate to Settings → Notifications.
Under Sender Info, select:
Step 2: Select Google as SMTP Provider
In the SMTP Provider dropdown, choose Google.
You will see the Google Account Integration box appear.
Step 3: Connect Your Google Account
Click the Connect button.
A Google sign-in window will open.
Select the Google account you want to use for sending emails.
Grant ShipGuard permission to send emails via your account (SMTP access through OAuth 2.0).
Step 4: Verify the Connection
After connecting, you’ll return to the ShipGuard settings page.
Click Send Test Mail to verify the setup.
Step 5: Save & Start Sending
Once verified, ShipGuard will use your connected Google account to send all claim process emails to your customers.
Emails will appear as coming directly from your domain, improving trust and deliverability.
✅ That’s it! Your ShipGuard claim emails will now be sent through your Google account.
Notes:
Make sure your Google account allows third-party app connections (OAuth).
If you are a Google Workspace admin, you may need to approve ShipGuard’s SMTP access in your Google Admin Console.
