👉 If your store is using a standard Shopify theme, the shipping protection widget will display and function without any issues.


Third-Party Cart Drawer Apps

If you are using a third-party cart drawer app or have heavily modified your cart with custom code, you may experience:

  • The widget is not displaying correctly
  • The widget displays correctly in the cart drawer, ❌ But the protection product is not added to checkout

This happens because some third-party cart drawer apps override or block Shopify’s native cart event flow, which ShipGuard relies on to add protection products to checkout.

What To Do
  • If you see the widget in your cart but protection isn’t carried into checkout, please contact our support team.
  • We’ll review your theme/cart setup and help adapt the widget to work properly with your drawer app.
