If the ShipGuard widget isn’t appearing in your cart drawer (mini cart), it’s usually due to theme or third-party app conflicts.
App embed not enabled in your Shopify theme.
Cart drawer built by a third-party app that doesn’t follow Shopify’s standard cart flow.
Custom theme code that prevents apps from injecting cart content.
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
Click App Embeds in the sidebar.
Toggle ShipGuard: Shipping Protection to Enable.
Save your changes.
If the widget appears on the full cart page but not in the cart drawer, this means your drawer app is not passing cart events correctly.
ShipGuard depends on Shopify’s native cart behavior to display protection.
Some third-party cart drawer apps override Shopify’s default flow.
When this happens, ShipGuard may display in the drawer but not carry protection to checkout, or it may not show at all.
Contact our support team — we can review your cart drawer setup and make small adjustments so it works correctly.
Review our Store Theme Compatibility Guide to confirm your theme and drawer setup are supported.

If the widget isn’t showing in your cart drawer, first check the main cart page:
Add a product to your cart.
Go to the full cart page (not the drawer).
Confirm whether the ShipGuard widget appears there.
👉 Many merchants use both a cart drawer and a standard cart page. Even if the drawer is blocked by a third-party app, the widget should still display on the main cart page. We recommend fixing the drawer so customers see protection options earlier in their journey.
